Café in the Ponickauhaus

Take a break from your visit to the museum or just give yourself a treat in the museum café, where you can refuel, browse through a book from the shop, or simply relax and take it easy for a while.

The museum café is currently open from: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We would be pleased to serve you in the museum’s conservatory café and, weather permitting, in the museum’s garden. Overlooking the well-tended grounds featuring a neo-classical style summer house, it is an ideal setting to relax and unwind at any time of the year. It is also open during the winter months.

Families with small children

We provide high chairs and a bottle or baby food warming service for our little guests. Prams and pushchairs can be stored in a sheltered place within sight. You will find baby changing facilities on the third floor, where there is also a family toilet. There is also a breastfeeding room available.

Celebrate at the museum 

The garden café can accommodate around 30 people, or the lecture room on the third floor with capacity for a further 40 people can be booked during opening hours.
Whether you are planning a children’s birthday party, family celebration, conference, presentation or any other gathering - our museum provides an exceptional setting for private celebrations or business events. The museum’s educational team offers guided tours and educational programmes. Our visitors’ service provides assistance with the organisation and culinary aspects of the events.
